PUBLIC SUMMER TOURS (Single Ticket)
This is for an approximately 40-minute PUBLIC SUMMER TOUR for a max of 10 public participants.
PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY to allow time for checking in prior to your tour. We will start on time and not be able to wait for latecomers; however, you may join the group upon your arrival.
Set atop one of the highest peaks of the beautiful Catskill Mountains in upstate New York is our 40-acre family farm, Buck Brook Alpacas, where we raise and breed over 100 Huacaya alpacas. Other farm residents include (but are not limited to!) Angora bunnies, chickens, cats, and a pig named Daisy.
We offer public and private tours year-round you and your loved ones can take anywhere from a short 45-min tour to an extended few hours' visit taking a tour walking an alpaca, shopping alpaca gifts, gem mining, or taking in the scenic view with a picnic.
Fun and learning for all ages, plus play a part helping to to spread awareness about these sustainably-beneficial fiber producers!
Duration: approx. 40 minutes
DRESS APPROPRIATELY (layers & boots!) for cold temperatures and possible mud & ice.
Children 3 and under are free and are included in your total guest count. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
If COVID-19 state guidelines are in place, WE ASK THAT EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY WEAR A PROTECTIVE MASK WHILE ON FARM PREMISES. For your convenience, we will have disposable masks for sale.

Meet your friendly and knowledgeable guide at the big barn 5 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time for sign-in, then learn all about our fabulous fiber-makers, the Huacaya alpaca and Angora rabbit, and how their luxuriously-soft and sought-after fleece is processed and crafted into a multitude of home and personal goods without any harm to the animal.
Feed the alpacas and meet the new babies (called "crias"). Find out what the first year in the life of an alpaca is like. We cover breeding, showing, feeding, felting, and a bit history.
You are invited to spend some time enjoying the farm before/after your demo.
- Refreshments will be available for purchase
- The farm store will be open for purchasing alpaca gifts and souvenirs
- Portable toilets and sanitizer stations will be offered on the premises
Private tours begin on the hour.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Tours must be canceled 24 hours prior to your booked time. Purchase amount will be applied towards a future tour or in the farm store or website.
